Floral Motif Rakhi – Oxidised Skin-Friendly Flower Design

A floral motif oxidised rakhi handmade in Satara, Maharashtra by Jija Designer Jewellery, in a deep antique finish. Made from skin-friendly metal that is nickel-free and lead-free, so it sits comfortably on the wrist through the whole day, even on sensitive skin.

Where a single large flower makes a statement, a repeating floral motif does something quieter — it fills the piece with fine, even detailing that catches the eye up close rather than across a room. Tied on Raksha Bandhan, it suits a brother who prefers something worked and intricate to something bold.

Fine Detail Needs the Right Finish

A repeating floral pattern is all small elements close together, and that is exactly where finish decides whether it works. Under bright plating the pattern reads as a single busy glare, because every raised line and every gap between them reflects the same light. Oxidising pulls it apart: the dark drops into the fine channels of the design while the surface stays bright, so the individual flowers and leaves separate cleanly instead of merging. On detailed work like this the finish is doing more than on a bold single motif, not less.

Your Questions, Answered

This one uses a fine repeating floral motif rather than a single larger flower — more intricate, detailed work across the whole piece. We offer both styles in the same skin-friendly oxidised metal, so choose whichever look you prefer.
No. This is not 925 sterling silver. It is a skin-friendly alloy with an oxidised antique polish, designed to look like traditional silver-toned jewellery at an affordable price.
Yes. The metal is nickel-free and lead-free, so it is suitable for most people with sensitive skin. If you have a known severe metal allergy, please test-wear briefly first.
No. Skin-friendly metal with oxidised polish does not leave green marks the way low-grade rakhi metal does. Keeping it dry keeps it that way.
The finish is durable for the festival season and beyond with normal care. Contact with water, sweat and chemical polish is what causes fading — avoid these and it holds its colour.
Yes. The tie thread is adjustable and fits children, teens and adults.
Yes. Many customers order multiple rakhis for brothers and cousins, or pair it with a lumba rakhi for bhabhi. Add more from our Rakhi collection.
Yes. Jija Jewels ships pan-India from Satara, Maharashtra. Order early in the Raksha Bandhan week to be safe.
Yes. Because it is metal and not paper or plastic, it stores well and many families keep it as a keepsake or reuse it.

Care guide

Keep away from water, perfume, deodorant and oil — spray fragrance first, wear the rakhi after. Wipe gently with a soft dry cotton cloth, following the direction of the petals rather than against them. Do not clean with silver polish liquid, toothpaste, or a metal brush — this lifts the dark from the fine channels of the pattern and flattens the detail. Store in a dry zip pouch or airtight box, away from humidity. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping to protect the thread. If it dulls over time, a light dry buff with cotton restores the shine.
