Why This Scene Needs an Oxidised Finish

This is the most detailed of our devotional designs — two figures and a scene, not a single symbol. That much detail on a small rakhi only works if the finish separates the elements, and bright plating cannot: it lights the whole scene evenly and the figures dissolve into one another. Oxidising is what makes the story readable — the dark settles between Ganesha, the Shivling and the ground, so each part stands clear and the act of worship is actually visible. Do not clean with silver polish liquid, toothpaste, or a metal brush — this strips the oxidised layer and flattens the scene detailing. Store in a dry zip pouch or airtight box, away from humidity. Many families keep a devotional rakhi in the pooja ghar. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping to protect the thread. If it dulls over time, a light dry buff with cotton restores the shine.
