Shree Hanuman Rakhi – Oxidised Skin-Friendly Bajrangbali Design

A Shree Hanuman rakhi handcrafted in Satara, Maharashtra by Jija Designer Jewellery, finished in a deep antique oxidised polish. Made from skin-friendly metal that is nickel-free and lead-free, so it sits comfortably on the wrist through the whole day, even on sensitive skin.

Hanuman is the deity of strength and protection, which makes him a natural choice for a thread tied on a brother's wrist — Raksha Bandhan is a bond of protection to begin with. Popular with families who keep Tuesday and Saturday observances, and with brothers who would rather wear Bajrangbali than a plastic design.

Why Oxidised Suits a Hanuman Design

A Hanuman motif carries a lot of detail — the face, the crown, the mace, the posture — packed into a very small area. Bright plating is the worst possible finish for that, because it reflects light evenly across every surface until the elements run together. Oxidising separates them: the dark settles into every recess and the raised edges stay bright, so each part of the figure holds its own shape at wrist scale. It also gives the piece the matte, temple-like weight that suits a devotional image better than a high shine ever could.

Your Questions, Answered

Yes — Hanuman is associated with strength and protection, which fits the meaning of Raksha Bandhan itself. Many families choose this design specifically for that reason.
No. This is not 925 sterling silver. It is a skin-friendly alloy with an oxidised antique polish, designed to look like traditional silver-toned jewellery at an affordable price.
Yes. The metal is nickel-free and lead-free, so it is suitable for most people with sensitive skin. If you have a known severe metal allergy, please test-wear briefly first.
No. Skin-friendly metal with oxidised polish does not leave green marks the way low-grade rakhi metal does. Keeping it dry keeps it that way.
The finish is durable for the festival season and beyond with normal care. Contact with water, sweat and chemical polish is what causes fading — avoid these and it holds its colour.
Yes. The tie thread is adjustable and fits children, teens and adults.
Many families keep a devotional rakhi in the pooja ghar or with other sacred items rather than discarding it. Wipe it dry, wrap it in clean cloth, and store it away from humidity.
Yes. Many customers order multiple rakhis for brothers and cousins, or pair it with a lumba rakhi for bhabhi. Add more from our Rakhi collection.
Yes. Jija Jewels ships pan-India from Satara, Maharashtra. Order early in the Raksha Bandhan week to be safe.

Care guide

Keep away from water, perfume, deodorant and oil — spray fragrance first, wear the rakhi after. Wipe gently with a soft dry cotton cloth after wearing. Do not clean with silver polish liquid, toothpaste, or a metal brush — this strips the oxidised layer and flattens the detailing. Store in a dry zip pouch or airtight box, away from humidity. Many families keep a devotional rakhi in the pooja ghar. Remove before bathing, swimming, or sleeping to protect the thread. If it dulls over time, a light dry buff with cotton restores the shine.
